Indonesian golfers challenged to shine at Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament 2026

Indonesian golfers are set to compete on the international stage at the upcoming Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament 2026. The event, scheduled for August 26-29 at the Damai Indah Golf BSD Course in Tangerang Selatan, Banten, is a significant fixture on the Asian Development Tour (ADT) calendar.

Nararya Ciputra Sastrawinata, Chairman of the Ciputra Golfpreneur Foundation (CGF), expressed his hope that local players will seize this opportunity to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience competing against international talent on home soil. "Having the chance to compete in an international tournament in Indonesia not only provides new experience but also opens up exposure and insight for Indonesian athletes, so they are ready to compete in other international tournaments," Nararya stated during a press conference.

The tournament, first held in 2014, was established under the initiative of the late DR (HC) Ir. Ciputra. It serves as a platform to nurture professional Indonesian golfers, preparing them for regional and higher-level competitions like the Asian Tour.

Budiarsa Sastrawinata, Founder of the Ciputra Golfpreneur Foundation and President Director of PT Damai Indah Golf Tbk, noted that this year's event is the 11th edition. He reiterated the tournament's core mission: to offer Indonesian golfers opportunities to face quality opponents from various countries. "This year's Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament marks its 11th edition. Since the beginning, we have organized this tournament to give professional Indonesian golfers the chance to compete with athletes from other countries, so they become accustomed to competing in international-level tournaments, and one day become champions. Subsequently, they can also compete at a higher international level," Budiarsa explained.

The Ciputra family's commitment to advancing golf in Indonesia extends to the establishment of the Ciputra Golfpreneur Foundation in 2020. Beyond the main tournament, the foundation consistently organizes the Ciputra Golfpreneur International Junior World Championship, which has been running for 32 years. This year's tournament boasts a total prize fund of $150,000 USD, approximately Rp2.7 billion, a figure that has seen a steady increase since the event's inception.
