President's Cup 2026 to Feature 100 Local Businesses in Bandung, Surabaya

The 2026 President's Cup is set to integrate 100 local micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) into its operational ecosystem in Bandung and Surabaya, moving beyond mere formality to foster economic inclusion.

Organizing committee chairman Tsamara Amany detailed a more rigorous curation process for UMKM selection this year. Enterprises are categorized into three tiers: those already well-known, those experiencing growth, and emerging businesses. This tiered approach guides the selection to ensure diverse and impactful participation.

"UMKM are divided into three categories: local UMKM that are already quite well-known, UMKM that are on the rise, and new UMKM that are developing. These three categories form the basis for our selection of UMKM involved," Tsamara stated in Bandung.

Amany highlighted that the President's Cup was conceived from its inception to support community economic strengthening, with UMKM involvement being a direct implementation of this commitment. The high public interest is evident, with all 24,000 tickets for the opening match reportedly sold out.

Preparations include robust security measures, with the committee expressing gratitude for the support from civil security, stewards, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and the Indonesian National Police (Polri), as well as local government and stakeholders, to ensure the event's safety and smooth execution.
