INEC Lists Mark, Aregbesola’s Names on Website Following Supreme Court Judgment

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially acknowledged the Senator David Mark-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a move that solidifies Mark's position within the party's leadership. This recognition comes directly after a pivotal Supreme Court ruling that reinstated the Mark-led NWC, effectively overturning previous decisions. It's important to recall that just last month, INEC had removed the names associated with the Mark-led NWC from its official website, citing an order from the Court of Appeal. At that time, the electoral body stated it would cease communication with any factions of the party and refrain from monitoring any meetings or conventions until the Federal High Court in Abuja resolved the ongoing dispute. INEC's previous stance was aimed at preventing any actions that could pre-empt the court's final decision.
