Gianni Infantino has officially declared his intention to run for another term as FIFA President, signaling his ambition to remain at the helm of world football until 2031. The path to re-election appears strategically paved. Infantino's first term, which began in the wake of the Sepp Blatter scandal, has been conveniently classified as 'incomplete.' This technicality circumvents the statutory limit of three terms, allowing him to pursue a potentially lengthy tenure, totaling fifteen years if re-elected.
