Intimidation wont be allowed during Osun poll, says Oyebamiji

Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the upcoming Osun State Governorship election, has vowed to ensure a violence-free poll and prevent any form of voter intimidation. Speaking during a campaign tour in Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo Otin Federal Constituency, Oyebamiji urged residents to collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) and participate in the August 15 election without fear.

I am assuring you that no one can intimidate or harass you not to participate in the poll. Any thug or hoodlum caught harassing people will be severely dealt with by security operatives.

Oyebamiji dismissed claims that the election might be marred by violence, assuring supporters that security operatives would deal decisively with anyone attempting to harass or intimidate voters. He emphasized the importance of the PVC as a tool for participation and advised against selling it. "I am assuring you that no one can intimidate or harass you not to participate in the poll. Any thug or hoodlum caught harassing people will be severely dealt with by security operatives," Oyebamiji stated.

I am urging you to keep your PVC safe, those that just registered, please go and get it on time. Liaise with our party officials at LG level to get your PVC easily. Once you get it, don’t sell it, it is your power and licence to take part on the August 15 election.

Addressing his plans if elected, Oyebamiji promised equitable development across all parts of the state. His manifesto, he explained, is designed to cater to every region and sector. For rural areas, the focus will be on agricultural development and providing essential infrastructure to boost the farming economy and reduce hunger. He also pledged to give necessary attention to health, education, and commerce, ushering in a "new era of development."
