INVEA reinforces controls; begins second stage of trust evaluations for verifiers

The Administrative Verification Institute of Mexico City (INVEA) is initiating the second stage of its trust and control evaluation process for specialized verification personnel. This move aims to bolster certainty and confidence among the public regarding the institute's operations.

The first phase, conducted in October and November 2025, saw 242 verifiers assessed at the Mexico City Secretariat of Citizen Security's evaluation center. The assessments included social environment and financial status reviews, alongside psychological, medical, toxicological, and polygraph examinations. These comprehensive checks are designed to ensure the integrity, legality, and professionalism of individuals conducting verifications at commercial establishments, construction sites, and transportation units.

As a result of these initial evaluations in 2025, 53 public servants were removed from their positions for failing to meet the established probity standards. To address the resulting vacancies and strengthen operational capacity, the INVEA issued two public calls for applications during the current administration. The upcoming second stage, set to begin in August, is intended to further solidify the institute as a more transparent, trustworthy, and citizen-oriented organization.
