Iran Claims Second Strike on Amazon Data Center in Bahrain

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it has again targeted a data center owned by U.S. tech giant Amazon in Bahrain, asserting the facility plays a significant role in supplying information to the U.S. military. The IRGC stated the strike was a direct response to U.S. actions that led to the deaths of children.

This claim follows an earlier announcement by the IRGC on Wednesday regarding a strike on the same data center. Neither Amazon nor Bahraini authorities have yet commented on Iran's latest assertion. The IRGC's statement was broadcast on state television.

The reported strike on the Amazon data center is part of a broader escalation of regional tensions. Iran has also claimed attacks on targets in Kuwait and Jordan. Kuwait's military reported actively intercepting Iranian drones and missiles. Iran stated it launched projectiles toward the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, used by U.S. forces.

In Bahrain, Iran claims to have struck fuel storage tanks, equipment warehouses, hangars, and residential complexes at Sheikh Isa Air Base, which it labeled a "terrorist" U.S. military base. Similar strikes were reported against U.S. facilities in Jordan, including Al-Azraq Air Base. These actions, Iran stated, were retaliation for U.S. strikes on seven Iranian provinces the previous night, which resulted in casualties, including deaths in Ahvaz.
