Iran executes two men convicted of spying for Israel

Iran's judiciary announced Monday the execution of two men found guilty of spying for Israel, marking the latest in a series of hangings for alleged espionage. The judiciary's media outlet, Mizan, identified the executed men as Omid Behzad and Pouria Safvat.

Mizan reported that the pair were hanged after being convicted of "espionage and collaboration with the Zionist regime." According to the outlet, they "helped the intelligence services achieve their objectives by providing them with information on military and security centres during the war." Mizan stated they transmitted the coordinates of sensitive military and security sites to Mossad agents, Israel's foreign intelligence service.
