Islamabad Issues Traffic Advisory for Marka-i-Haq Event

The capital city of Islamabad is preparing for a significant event on May 10, marking an anniversary of Pakistani forces' victory. Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon has announced a comprehensive traffic advisory to manage the expected disruptions. The event, reportedly to be attended by top civilian and military leadership, will celebrate a past military triumph.

Temporary traffic diversions and closures will affect various routes from 6 PM to 12 AM. The advisory urges citizens to plan their journeys, utilize alternative routes, and cooperate with traffic officials to ensure smooth traffic flow. Specific road closures include Srinagar Highway and Islamabad Expressway. Alternative routes are provided for commuters traveling to and from different parts of the city, including the Motorway, Red Zone, Rawalpindi, and Murree.

Temporary traffic diversions will remain in place from 6pm to 12am on various routes across the city.

Heavy traffic vehicles will be banned from entering Islamabad from 4 AM on May 10 until midnight, while all light transport vehicles will be diverted from Rawat T-Cross towards Rawalpindi during peak hours. The advisory aims to minimize inconvenience to the public while facilitating the event. Residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi witnessed an aerial display by the Pakistan Air Force on Friday, adding to the commemorative atmosphere.
