New Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar to be sworn in at 10:15 AM

The new Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan is scheduled to be sworn into office at 10:15 AM today at Balairung Seri, Istana Besar Seri Menanti. The ceremony will take place in the presence of the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.

This appointment follows the recent Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN-16). The new state government is a coalition formed by Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN). Together, they secured a majority of 25 out of the 36 seats in the State Legislative Assembly.

According to Election Commission Chairman Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun, BN emerged as the largest party, winning 18 seats. Pakatan Harapan secured 11 seats, and PN obtained seven seats. Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi confirmed that the coalition had submitted three candidate names for the Menteri Besar position to Tuanku Muhriz.
