Israel eliminates 'several' Hezbollah members in southern Lebanon attack

The Israeli military announced Saturday that its forces identified and eliminated "several Hezbollah terrorists" in the Ali Taher hills, near the town of Nabatieh al Fawqa in southern Lebanon. The operation, which took place in the early morning hours, also resulted in moderate injuries to one Israeli soldier who was subsequently evacuated for medical treatment.

Reports also described heavy machine-gun fire and armored patrols along roads, with several houses reportedly demolished and others set ablaze in the Bint Jbeil district.

Further escalating the situation, an Israeli patrol boat reportedly opened fire on fishing boats off the coast of Mansouri, near Al Bayada city, in an apparent attempt to prevent them from fishing. This series of actions has raised concerns among the Lebanese government and international bodies, especially following a significant explosion near the historic Beaufort Castle the previous day. Israel confirmed destroying tunnels allegedly used by Hezbollah under the Beaufort mountain range, stating it was part of a systematic operation to dismantle Hezbollah's infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
