Istanbul Roads to Close for 'Istanbul Runs Asia Stage Run'

Istanbul residents are advised to plan their journeys carefully on Sunday, May 3, 2026, as significant road closures will be implemented across the Asian side of the city to accommodate the 'Istanbul Runs Asia Stage Run'. The Istanbul Traffic Control Branch Directorate has announced that key routes, particularly along the Üsküdar Harem Sahil Yolu and connecting streets, will be inaccessible between 06:00 and 13:00.

This temporary disruption is necessary to ensure the safety and smooth execution of the marathon, which is a popular event drawing many participants and spectators. The affected areas include major arteries and local roads in Üsküdar, Kuzguncuk, and Beylerbeyi. The closures will impact traffic flow not only on the coastal road but also on streets branching off from Hakimiyeti Milliye Caddesi, Paşa Limanı Caddesi, Kuzguncuk Çarşı Caddesi, and Abdullahağa Caddesi.

To minimize inconvenience, the authorities have designated several alternative routes. These include Selimiye İskele Caddesi, Dr. Eyüp Aksoy Caddesi, Nuhkuyusu Caddesi, Gümüşyolu Caddesi, the D-100 Highway, Beylerbeyi Abdullah Ağa Caddesi, Hakimiyeti Milliye Caddesi, Halk Caddesi, Cumhuriyet Caddesi, and Dr. Fahri Atabey Caddesi. Commuters and residents are strongly encouraged to utilize these alternative routes and allow for extra travel time during the specified hours.
