Italian Lawmaker Slams Israel's Interception of Aid Fleet in Mediterranean

This fleet, carrying vital humanitarian aid for Gaza, was intercepted by the Israeli navy in international waters, a brazen act that cannot stand.

This is not an isolated incident. It recalls the illegal seizure of vessels and detention of volunteers in 2025. The fact that this is happening again, this time off the coast of Greece, demonstrates a disturbing pattern of disrespect for international law and maritime boundaries. How can such violence and disregard for legal norms be tolerated?

Our government must take a firm stance. Allowing Israel to operate with such impunity undermines the principles of international cooperation and humanitarian aid. We demand accountability and a clear message that such actions are unacceptable.
