Jakarta Governor Meets Cabinet Secretary to Discuss LRT and City Development

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan visited the Cabinet Secretariat in Jakarta on Monday, meeting with Cabinet Secretary Letkol Inf Teddy Indra Wijaya. The governor, who previously worked at the secretariat for over nine years, discussed collaboration between the Jakarta provincial government and the central government to support Jakarta's development as a global city.

Baswedan highlighted upcoming public transportation projects, including the newly completed LRT Jakarta line connecting Velodrome to Manggarai. He mentioned his intention to invite President Prabowo Subianto to inaugurate the facility, expressing hope for the President's attendance.

Indeed, this morning I met with the Cabinet Secretary at the Cabinet Secretariat Office. I was there for 9 years, more than 9 years, and of course, in the context of collaboration between the Central Government and the Jakarta Government regarding Jakarta as a Global City in the context of improving existing infrastructure.

"We will soon inaugurate several facilities in Jakarta together with the central government, hopefully soon," Baswedan stated, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in improving existing infrastructure and developing Jakarta as a global hub.
