Jambi Authorities Destroy Over 2 Kg of Methamphetamine and Hundreds of Ecstasy Pills

The Jambi Customs Office, in collaboration with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Jambi Province, has destroyed a significant quantity of illegal narcotics. The joint operation saw the destruction of 2.2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (sabu) and 753 ecstasy pills, which were evidence from cases in the 2026 fiscal year.

The destruction event took place on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the BNN Province Jambi office. The seized drugs, totaling 2,208.798 grams of methamphetamine and 331.178 grams of ecstasy, were the result of investigations involving six suspects. The successful seizures were bolstered by information provided by Aviation Security (Avsec) at Sultan Thaha Airport.

Dafit Kasianto, Head of the Jambi Customs Office, affirmed the commitment to continued cooperation with the BNN Province Jambi. "Jambi Customs and BNN Province Jambi are committed to further strengthening synergy to protect the community from the circulation of narcotics," Kasianto stated. He emphasized that through sustained collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, they will continue to take concrete steps to prevent and eradicate drug trafficking in the Jambi region.
