Jarocin Festival 2026 launches "Rhythms of Youth" industry conference

The Jarocin Festival, a historic Polish rock event, is set to expand its offerings in 2026 by launching its inaugural industry-focused initiative: the "Rhythms of Youth" Conference. Scheduled to take place from July 17 to 19, this three-day event will comprise a series of panel discussions, workshops, and author meetings, all centered on the current music market and the creative process of artists.

Organizers intend for the conference to become a permanent fixture of the festival, enhancing its educational role. This new venture builds on the spirit of "Wielkopolskie Rhythms of Youth," a long-standing competition that has discovered numerous talents. The festival's history is intertwined with the beginnings of notable Polish artists and bands such as T. Love, Robert Gawliński, Hey, and more recently, Curly Heads and Kathia.

This is a great complement to the Jarocin festival program. I hope that the 55 years of our event's history will be reflected in the quality and popularity of the Conference, and that the panels, workshops, and meetings will permanently become part of the festival schedule.

The conference program boasts a diverse range of activities. Attendees can participate in songwriting workshops led by Hubert „Spięty” Dobaczewski and music production sessions with Marcin Bors. There will also be meetings with established figures like Lech Janerka, Wojciech Waglewski, and Krzysztof Grabowski from Dezerter and Strachy na Lachy. A special discussion will commemorate the 40th anniversary of the film "Moja krew, Twoja krew" featuring musicians from the band Republika. Panels will also address topics such as streaming, the radio market, copyright law, and artist-industry relations.

Festival director and conference originator Michał Wiraszko expressed enthusiasm for the new initiative, viewing it as a significant enhancement to the festival's overall program. He hopes the conference will achieve the same quality and popularity as the main festival, becoming a regular part of the schedule. Wiraszko highlighted that the conference extends the festival's daily programming from 10 a.m. until 3 a.m., a development he is particularly proud of. The conference events will be held at the Kamienica Kultury and Kino Echo in Jarocin, with free admission for all participants.
