JDT thrash KRW FC 9-0 in Super League rout

Defending champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) delivered a dominant performance, crushing Kelantan Red Warrior (KRW) FC 9-0 in a Super League match at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium. The victory showcased JDT's offensive prowess and cemented their strong standing in the league.

JDT's dominance began just 80 seconds into the match with an opening goal from Shahab Zahedi. Despite missed opportunities by Zahedi and Jairo Da Silva to extend the lead, the team continued to press. Eddy Israfiloz found the net in the 27th minute, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review indicated a foul.

Zahedi doubled his tally in the 36th minute, heading home a pass from captain Arif Aiman Hanafi. KRW attempted to respond through Muhammad Mohd. Fauzi and Emmanuel Junior Nkene, but their shots narrowly missed the target. Before halftime, KRW conceded an own goal when Muhammad inadvertently deflected a cross into his own net.

The second half saw JDT continue their scoring spree. Jairo Da Silva converted a corner in the 49th minute, followed by Zahedi completing his hat-trick a minute later with a low shot. Zahedi further extended his personal score to four goals in the 61st minute, capitalizing on a move initiated by Molina Martinez. Matias Nahuel added the seventh goal in the 77th minute, and Arif Aiman, who had already provided three assists, scored the final goal in the 89th minute, completing JDT's resounding victory.
