Jet ski capsizes: Father and daughter's bodies found

A tragic accident occurred off the coast of Akyarlar, Turkey, when a jet ski carrying four members of the same family overturned. The incident happened early on July 15th amid severe waves and poor weather conditions. The four individuals on board included two children.

Following distress calls from nearby seafarers, the Turkish Coast Guard launched a search and rescue operation. While the Iraqi mother was successfully rescued by the crew of a passing motor yacht, her husband and their two daughters were lost at sea. The search for the missing family members continued for several days.

On July 16th, a young girl was spotted floating lifelessly off the coast of the Greek island of Kos. Ferry passengers traveling between Bodrum and Kos alerted the Greek Coast Guard. An examination confirmed the girl was one of the children missing from the jet ski incident. Subsequently, the bodies of the father and the other daughter were also recovered by Greek security forces off the coast of Kos.
