Jewish Settler Terror Attacks in West Bank Continue

Jewish settlers carried out further attacks in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday night, kidnapping two young Palestinians and burning a vehicle belonging to a Palestinian resident. The incidents occurred in separate locations, with settlers targeting Beit Ula near Hebron and the Abu Nujaym area east of Bethlehem.

Sources reported that settlers intercepted a vehicle belonging to Safar Samer Al-Atrash west of Beit Ula, damaging it before abducting him and another young man. In Bethlehem, settlers attacked the home of Samer Oweis in Abu Nujaym and set his vehicle ablaze. These attacks are part of an escalating pattern of settler violence against Palestinian civilians, their homes, vehicles, and property across the West Bank.

Meanwhile, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich took to social media platform X to boast about the destruction of Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank. He posted images of the destruction, stating, "We continue to enforce the law and prevent illegal construction and Arab takeover in Judea and Samaria. For years, they have acted in the area as if it belonged to them. That is over. Judea and Samaria are an inseparable part of the State of Israel and are vital to its security."

International law recognizes the entire West Bank as Palestinian territory, despite significant Israeli occupation. Smotrich has previously announced his government's intention to annex 82 percent of the West Bank and prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has documented over 1,330 incidents involving Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of 2026, resulting in Palestinian casualties and property damage.
