Joan García, Pubill, Eric García, and Víctor Muñoz Named in Spain's World Cup Squad

Spain's national football team manager, Luis de la Fuente, has announced his squad for the upcoming World Cup, set to be held this summer in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Among the selected players are goalkeeper Joan García, defenders Marc Pubill and Eric García, and forward Víctor Muñoz. Spain is scheduled to make its tournament debut on June 15 against Cape Verde.

The squad also features Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams, both of whom have recently dealt with muscular injuries. De la Fuente is reportedly counting on their recovery and significant contributions during the tournament. The Spanish team will commence its training camp on Saturday, May 30, at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, Madrid. Prior to the World Cup, they will play two friendly matches: one on June 4 against Iraq in La Coruña, and another on June 9 against Peru in Puebla, Mexico.

Spain has been drawn into Group H for the World Cup. Their campaign to secure a second world title will begin against Cape Verde on June 15. They will then face Saudi Arabia on June 21, and conclude their group stage matches against Uruguay on June 27.
