Joeli Koroiravudi Named New Principal of Marist Brothers Primary School Mulivai

The Marist Brothers Governance Board has announced a significant appointment for Marist Brothers Primary School in Apia, Samoa, naming Mr. Joeli Koroiravudi as its new Principal. This decision underscores the Marist community's commitment to educational excellence and the preservation of its unique values.

Mr. Koroiravudi, an alumnus of Marist Brothers Primary School and Marist High School Suva, brings a wealth of experience, having dedicated over 25 years to education. His current role as Head Teacher at St Marcellin Primary School in Suva, Fiji, has prepared him to lead Marist Brothers Primary School in Samoa. His appointment is not merely a professional transition but is viewed as a "calling" to uphold the "Marist Spirit" that distinguishes the institution.

The school community anticipates Mr. Koroiravudi's arrival in July 2026, alongside his wife, who is also an experienced educator. His vision includes fostering quality education, reinforcing Marist values, and contributing to the holistic development of students and staff. The Governance Board, led by Chair Tuatagaloa Aumua Ming Leung Wai, expressed confidence in his ability to lead the school towards becoming an "institution of excellence."

This appointment also marks a transition for Br. Siaosi Ioane, who served as Principal for nine years, during which the school saw strong staff solidarity and improved literacy. Br. Ioane will now take on the role of Coordinator of the Marist Brothers in Samoa, ensuring continuity and further development within the Marist network. The school community wishes Mr. Koroiravudi success in his new endeavor.
