Johari Abdul Ghani accompanies Gemencheh candidate to nomination center

Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Vice President of UMNO, accompanied the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Gemencheh state seat, Suhaimizan Bizar, to the nomination center at Dewan Perdana Tampin for the Negeri Sembilan State Election. Suhaimizan, the incumbent for the DUN Gemencheh seat, arrived with party leaders and supporters, with over 300 BN supporters participating in a procession.

Also accompanying Suhaimizan was UMNO Treasurer Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor. In the previous state election, Suhaimizan retained the DUN Gemencheh seat, defeating the Perikatan Nasional candidate with a majority of 2,434 votes. This election, Suhaimizan is anticipated to face competition from the Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan (PH) representative, Datuk Abd. Latif A. Tambi.

In the DUN Repah constituency, BN is presenting a new candidate, Koh Kim Swee, to challenge the four-term incumbent from PH, S. Veerapan, who has held the seat since 2008. Meanwhile, in DUN Gemas, incumbent Ridzuan Ahmad is expected to contest under the Parti Wawasan Negara (WAWASAN) ticket after leaving Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) on July 11. Ridzuan had won the Gemas seat in the last state election representing Bersatu.
