Jokowi Continues Political Safari in East Nusa Tenggara with PSI

Former President Joko Widodo embarked on a three-day visit to East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on Friday, July 31, 2026, continuing his political safari with the Solidarity Party (PSI). His itinerary includes attending the PSI Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) in Kupang, as well as participating in traditional ceremonies and a PSI elephant carnival.

The agenda in NTT is not much different from the previous political safari in Lampung, more or less the same.

Widodo departed from Adi Soemarmo Airport in Boyolali on Friday morning, accompanied by his aide and Presidential Security details. He indicated that his agenda in NTT would be similar to his previous visit to Lampung, focusing on fulfilling invitations from the community and attending party events.

"The agenda in NTT is not much different from the previous political safari in Lampung, more or less the same," Widodo told reporters. He specifically mentioned the Rakorda in Kupang as a main event, alongside traditional activities and the elephant carnival.

This trip marks the second leg of Widodo's political engagements with the PSI, following his tour in Lampung. The visits are seen as part of the PSI's efforts to consolidate its organization at the regional level in preparation for upcoming political phases. Widodo stated that his participation in these events stems from invitations received from local party officials and community members.
