Juchipila Public Security Director Arrested on Kidnapping Charges

Zacatecas's top prosecutor confirmed the arrest of Juchipila's Public Security Director, Pedro Humberto “N”, and an officer, Marco “N”, on Tuesday. They face charges of aggravated kidnapping.

The arrests were made early Tuesday morning as part of a coordinated operation involving state and federal forces. "The detention follows an investigation, and both individuals were apprehended by virtue of an arrest warrant for aggravated kidnapping," stated Zacatecas Prosecutor Cristian Camacho Osnaya.

These detentions are linked to "Operativo Sagaz," a joint initiative launched over a month ago by the governments of Zacatecas and Aguascalientes. The operation aims to address security concerns in the region. Officials executed two search warrants and arrest warrants against the municipal public servants.

While specific details of the kidnapping allegations remain undisclosed, Camacho emphasized that these arrests are part of ongoing efforts in the region that have led to other apprehensions. The Zacatecas Prosecutor's Office is expected to release further information on Wednesday.
