Judge grants protection to alleged member of 'La Empresa' against forced disappearance

A federal judge has granted a "suspensión de plano" (immediate suspension) to Citlali Erandi Granados Hernández, who was detained last Saturday and is allegedly connected to the criminal organization known as "La Empresa." This judicial measure provides her with protection against communication deprivation and forced disappearance, safeguarding her fundamental rights.

The ruling specifically instructs the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO) to cease any actions that violate these protections and to provide a report within 24 hours detailing the detainee's legal and physical situation. Granados Hernández was apprehended during simultaneous raids conducted in the municipalities of Atlatlahucan, Yautepec, and Yecapixtla by federal forces.

This operation was confirmed by the federal Secretary of Citizen Security and Protection, Omar García Harfuch, who announced the arrest of six alleged members of "La Empresa." This group is considered a significant generator of violence in several municipalities within the state of Morelos, including Cuautla, Totolapan, Tetela del Volcán, Yautepec, and Atlatlahucan.

It is important to note that the granting of this protective measure does not signify freedom or absolution from the charges of organized crime leveled against the detainee. Instead, it mandates FEMDO to guarantee her individual rights and ensure transparency regarding her custody while the amparo trial, which seeks to resolve the constitutional protections sought, is ongoing.
