Kanopi Residences reaches structural completion, nears 90% take-up

Sime Darby Property's Kanopi Residences, a high-rise development in Elmina City Centre, has achieved a significant construction milestone with its topping-off ceremony, marking the completion of its maximum structure height. This achievement brings the project, valued at RM299 million, closer to its targeted completion in the third quarter of 2027.

Kanopi Residences, the first high-rise residential project by Sime Darby Property in the 350-acre Elmina City Centre, part of the larger 6,500-acre City of Elmina master plan, offers 499 units. These units range from 550 to 1,200 square feet, designed to appeal to young professionals, first-time homebuyers, and new families. Since its launch in the fourth quarter of 2024, the project has seen an impressive 90% take-up rate, indicating strong market demand.

Appollo Leong, Chief Operating Officer of Urban Redevelopment at Sime Darby Property, highlighted the project's timely progress and commitment to quality. "More importantly, it reflects Sime Darby Property's commitment to delivering quality development on schedule, as well as fulfilling the trust placed in us by buyers," he stated. The development aligns with Sime Darby Property's vision of creating a 15-minute city, where essential amenities like commercial centers, schools, and transport links are easily accessible by foot or bicycle.

Strategically located approximately 300 meters from Elmina Lakeside Mall and offering convenient access to the Guthrie Corridor Expressway and Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH), Kanopi Residences also provides residents with walking access to the expansive 300-acre Elmina Central Park. The development boasts over 35 wellness-themed facilities, including unique 'in the sky' amenities like a co-working space, lounge, and fitness center, all inspired by the nearby Bukit Cherakah Forest Reserve.
