Kaohsiung female motorcyclist crashes into pole, falls into 4-meter ditch, dies in rescue attempt

A tragic accident in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, resulted in the death of a female motorcyclist after she lost control of her vehicle and fell into a deep ditch. The incident occurred on Qiwu Road in the Cishan District on Wednesday afternoon.

The motorcyclist was reportedly traveling along Qiwu Road when she veered off course near utility pole number 186. She collided with the pole and a guardrail before her motorcycle and she plunged into a ditch approximately 4 meters deep. Debris from the crash was scattered across the scene.

Emergency services were dispatched to the location and successfully rescued the woman from the ditch. She was immediately transported to a hospital for urgent medical attention. However, medical staff were unable to save her, and she was declared deceased due to the severity of her injuries.

Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the accident. Preliminary findings suggest the motorcyclist lost control for reasons yet to be determined. Further investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances and establish responsibility.
