Karla Zapién goes to the CDMX Prosecutor's Office to initiate forensic examinations against Hugo Stiglitz for alleged sexual abuse

Actress Karla Zapién has formally initiated legal proceedings against veteran actor Hugo Stiglitz, presenting herself at the Mexico City Attorney General's Office to begin forensic examinations related to an alleged sexual abuse case. Zapién first accused Stiglitz of abuse three years ago, detailing an incident she claims occurred in 1993 when she was a minor.

She recounted meeting Stiglitz during a film shoot in Guadalajara, where he allegedly encouraged her acting career and arranged her travel to Mexico City.

According to Zapién, Stiglitz brought her to a hotel upon her arrival in the capital and committed the abuse. She described the act not as violent but as manipulative, involving psychological influence, a tactic she now identifies as grooming. Zapién is pursuing legal action alongside her lawyer, Gerardo Martín Rincón Flores, who emphasized that they are awaiting the forensic results before making further public statements. Stiglitz, now 85 and largely retired, could face legal consequences if found guilty.
