Karşıyaka Selects Most Beautiful Balconies and Gardens for 23rd Year

The city of Karşıyaka is once again celebrating its green spaces with the 23rd annual 'Most Beautiful Balcony and Garden Competition.' This beloved event, organized by the Karşıyaka Municipality, encourages residents to showcase their horticultural talents and commitment to environmental sustainability.

This year's competition features three distinct categories: 'Most Beautiful Balcony,' 'Most Beautiful Garden,' and 'Most Beautiful Apartment Garden.' Participants are invited to apply by calling 399 40 00. The judging criteria will not only focus on the aesthetic appeal of the gardens and balconies, emphasizing colors and fragrances that enhance the urban landscape, but also on their contribution to environmental values through practices like recycling and sustainability.

Karşıyaka Mayor Yıldız Ünsal highlighted the event's significance beyond a mere competition. The award ceremony is set to take place on Friday, May 15th, at 3:00 PM at the Bostanlı Market Place, as part of the Karşıyaka Flower Festival. Winners in each category will receive plaques and surprise prizes, celebrating their dedication to making Karşıyaka a more beautiful and greener place.
