Kaunas Continues Funding for Centralized Network Connections, Aims for Cleaner City

Kaunas is continuing its initiative to fund residents' connections to centralized water and sewage systems, a program designed to enhance environmental quality and public services.

The initiative, supported by "Kauno vandenys" (Kaunas Water), aims to significantly decrease the amount of pollutants released into the environment. It also seeks to provide citizens with access to a well-developed and high-quality utility service within the city.

This program is specifically targeted at Kaunas residents whose properties are located near existing centralized water and sewage networks but are not yet connected. The company is offering financial assistance to facilitate these connections.

Eligible households can receive up to 3,000 euros for connecting to both the water supply and sewage infrastructure. Those connecting to only one network will receive 1,500 euros. An additional 300 euros is available for the installation of sewage pumps, if necessary. Residents are required to cover any remaining costs themselves.

To apply, property owners or their authorized representatives must visit the "Kauno vandenys" Technical-Project Department with the necessary documents to complete applications and sign preliminary agreements.
