KMI Gwanghwamun Center Earns First International Accreditation for Foreign Patient Services

The KMI Korea Institute of Medical Research's Gwanghwamun Screening Center has achieved a landmark distinction, becoming the first health screening institution in South Korea to earn the prestigious KAHF (Korea Accreditation for Healthcare) certification. This accreditation is a significant validation of our commitment to providing world-class medical services and fostering medical tourism.

I was most worried about language and procedures, but the International Healthcare Center systematically supported the entire process from reservations, examination guidance, interpretation, to result consultations, allowing me to undergo the examination very comfortably.

This certification, awarded by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, rigorously assesses a facility's capacity to attract and serve international patients. It evaluates everything from the quality of medical services and patient safety protocols to the overall patient experience. For a health screening center to achieve this is particularly noteworthy, highlighting our specialized approach to international clientele.

Since relocating to the Gwanghwamun Building earlier this year, we established the International Healthcare Center (IHC) to specifically enhance our global services. The KAHF evaluation commended our tailored screening processes, multilingual coordination systems, patient-centric safety measures, and robust quality management. The precision examinations using the latest medical equipment and the systematic examination system were impressive. The examination flow was operated efficiently, allowing for various tests to be conveniently completed within about 3 hours, and there was no problem with the subsequent tourist schedule, so satisfaction was high in terms of medical tourism as well.
