The Korea Golf Association has issued a formal apology following a significant scoring error that cost golfer Huh In-hoi a chance at victory in the GS Caltex Maekyung Open. This incident highlights a lapse in the association's operational procedures, leading to understandable frustration for the player and his supporters.

During the third round, Huh In-hoi's tee shot on the 7th hole was initially ruled out of bounds (OB). However, the subsequent score adjustment, changing a double bogey to a par, was not communicated to him before the final round. This lack of timely information meant Huh played the final round unaware of the altered score, only to discover the discrepancy as he was preparing for a playoff, having tied for the lead.
