Kristo Asafo leadership denies July 30 burial date for Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka

The leadership of Kristo Asafo has officially refuted claims circulating on social media and other media outlets that the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka will be buried on July 30, 2026. The current head of the Kantanka family and leader of Kristo Asafo, Kwadwo Safo Akofena Kantanka, clarified during a press conference in Accra that no burial date has been established.

Akofena urged church members and the general public to disregard any unofficial announcements regarding the funeral. He emphasized that neither the church leadership nor the Kantanka family has made any such pronouncements. He assured that all official funeral arrangements will be communicated solely through a formal statement from the Kantanka family when the appropriate time arrives.

The family remains united in their commitment to conducting the final funeral rites in a manner that honors the late Apostle's legacy. Akofena called for calm and urged Ghanaians to await official communication, warning against the spread of misinformation. The passing of Apostle Dr. Ing. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, founder and spiritual leader of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana, has led to widespread public interest in his funeral arrangements.
