Kuo Tien-hsin Nears 10 Home Runs, Coach Playfully Warns League Leader

Wei Chuan Dragons outfielder Kuo Tien-hsin is on the verge of a career milestone, hitting a solo home run that brought his season total to nine. This places him fourth in the league, just one blast away from achieving his first-ever 10-homer season.

Kuo has hit home runs in consecutive games, a feat he last accomplished in April 2023. Dragons head coach Yeh Chun-chang expressed pleasant surprise at Kuo's performance this season, noting his ability to hit for power without necessarily swinging with excessive force.

"Hitting a home run doesn't necessarily require a big swing," Yeh commented, drawing a parallel to Arizona Diamondbacks player Corbin Carroll, who also achieves power despite a smaller frame. Yeh emphasized that consistent hitting is key, and Kuo has demonstrated an improved ability to adjust his approach even when not in peak form.
