Kuwaiti Citizen Detained Over Alleged Assault on Defense Ministry Soldier

A Kuwaiti citizen born in 1972 was detained after a Ministry of Defense soldier accused him of assaulting him while on duty near Sulaibiya.

According to the soldier's report, the incident occurred on the Seventh Ring Road near the Sulaibiya warehouses. The soldier said he was driving a military vehicle toward Jahra when an SUV suddenly stopped in front of him.

The SUV's driver then got out and allegedly attacked him. The soldier obtained a medical report documenting his injuries, which police added to the case file.

Security personnel contacted the accused by phone and asked him to report to Sulaibiya Police Station. After questioning, an investigator ordered his detention pending further legal proceedings. The case has been referred to the relevant authorities to establish the circumstances and determine the appropriate action.
