Kwame Baffoe Abronye DC re-elected NPP Bono Regional Chairman

Kwame Baffoe, widely recognized as Abronye DC, has retained his position as the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The re-election took place during the party's regional elections held at Baakuniaba, near Sunyani, in the Bono Region.

Baffoe achieved a decisive victory, securing 201 votes to maintain his chairmanship. His closest competitor, Joseph Mensah, garnered 31 votes. Other candidates in the chairmanship race included the former Jaman South Member of Parliament, Mr. Yaw Afful, who polled 44 votes, and Afari Gyan and Kwabena Oppong, who received no votes.

The elections also saw contests for other key positions within the regional party structure. Kate Amponsah Agyare was elected First Vice-Chairperson with 252 votes, while Kwaku Antwi Agyei won the Second Vice-Chairperson position. Kofi Ofosu Boateng retained his role as Secretary, and Randy Ashraf Issahaku secured the Deputy Secretary position.

In other contests, Samira Sulley emerged victorious as the Women's Organiser, narrowly beating the incumbent. Dauda Ibrahim Bamba won the Youth Organiser contest, and Faisal Osman Mohammed was elected Nasara Organiser. Veronica Tuffour secured the Treasurer position, and Abdul Razak Oppong won the Organiser role. Fahd Osman was elected for Communications.

A total of 281 delegates from 12 constituencies participated in the regional elections, which were supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC). The process was reported to be smooth and orderly, with police presence ensuring law and order at the voting center.
