A 50-year-old man identified as Godwin is in custody in Rivers State, Nigeria, following allegations of defiling two minors. The Rivers State Police Command confirmed the arrest on Thursday after the parents of the 13-year-old and 11-year-old girls filed a formal complaint. Operatives from the Eleme Police Division apprehended the suspect at his residence.

According to the father of the older victim, the suspect would send the girls on errands and then lure them into his room upon their return. He allegedly locked the door, increased his music volume, and assaulted the children. The suspect reportedly threatened the girls to prevent them from disclosing the incidents.

If the medical findings confirm the assault, the case will be transferred to the appropriate bureau for further action.
