Kyiv region hit by Russian air raid, 27 dead; mutual attacks continue

At least 27 people died and 42 were injured in a Russian air raid that struck Ukraine's Kyiv region overnight Saturday. The attack, which occurred in the Bucha district, also forced the evacuation of over 380 residents, including children.

Regional Governor Tymur Tkatchenko announced the grim toll via Telegram, detailing the destruction caused by the raid. The attack reportedly involved a drone strike that ignited a large fire and caused explosions in a Kyiv suburb late Friday evening.

Both Ukraine and Russia have continued to exchange attacks, with significant casualties reported on both sides. Ukrainian drone strikes targeted Russia's Belgorod region, killing three people, according to local authorities. On the Crimean peninsula, one person was killed in Sevastopol.

Further south in Ukraine's Odesa region, at least one person died and three were injured in separate Russian attacks. In Russia's Rostov region, seven people were injured by Ukrainian attacks, including a child who sustained severe injuries. Debris from drones also damaged two apartment buildings in the port city of Rostov-on-Don, injuring seven people.
