Kyrgyzstan and Montenegro Boost Business Partnership, Focusing on Tourism

Kyrgyzstan and Montenegro are actively seeking to deepen their economic partnership, with a strategic emphasis on bolstering the burgeoning tourism industries of both nations. This initiative was underscored during a recent working visit by Temir Sariev, President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic (CCI KR), to Podgorica, Montenegro. The visit culminated in the signing of a significant memorandum of cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce of Kyrgyzstan and Montenegro. This agreement paves the way for enhanced collaboration in entrepreneurship, particularly targeting the tourism sector, which represents a substantial portion of Montenegro's GDP, exceeding 30 percent. Both parties recognize the immense potential for knowledge sharing and capacity building. Discussions also extended to the possibility of organizing internships for Kyrgyz specialists in Montenegro, allowing them to gain valuable experience in a sector where Montenegro excels. Furthermore, the Kyrgyz delegation engaged with Montenegro's Minister of Tourism, discussing prospects for expanded cooperation and Kyrgyzstan's potential participation in an upcoming UN-backed international tourism forum. This burgeoning partnership signals a shared commitment to leveraging mutual strengths for economic growth and development.
