Kyrgyzstan Halts Construction of Three Residential Complexes Over Safety Violations

Construction work on three residential complexes in Kyrgyzstan's Batken region has been temporarily suspended. The halt comes after authorities found significant violations of safety and site management requirements. These included a lack of essential fencing around construction sites, protective canopies for pedestrians, and proper external lighting. Additionally, issues with access roads and stations for washing construction vehicle wheels were noted.

The state department of architectural and construction control identified these shortcomings at multiple sites. As a result, official reports were filed against three construction companies: 'Zolotoy Kvadrat,' 'Elit Grand,' and 'Asyl Holding.' The department has mandated that construction and assembly work must cease until all identified violations are completely addressed and rectified.

Officials from the Ministry of Construction emphasized that all construction activities are permitted only when they strictly adhere to established building norms and regulations. The suspension serves as a measure to ensure compliance and public safety.
