Kyrgyzstan Tax Service Approves New Business Service Standard

In a move designed to streamline and modernize interactions between businesses and the state, Kyrgyzstan's State Tax Service has officially adopted a new standard for services pertaining to cash registers. This initiative, spearheaded by the "Salyk Servis" state institution, represents a significant step towards creating a more transparent and efficient business environment.

The newly approved standard provides a comprehensive framework for the preparation, registration, and servicing of cash registers. It establishes uniform requirements for both the physical operation and technical maintenance of these crucial fiscal devices, including the integrated software. This unification is expected to eliminate inconsistencies and ambiguities that may have previously complicated compliance for entrepreneurs and companies.

"Salyk Servis" will be the primary provider of these services, catering to individual entrepreneurs and legal entities alike. The standard meticulously outlines the conditions under which services must be rendered, emphasizing accessibility, including provisions for individuals with disabilities, and adherence to queueing protocols, with exceptions for certain categories of citizens. While the processing of applications and document issuance are capped at 30 minutes, the overall service duration can extend up to one month, reflecting the thoroughness of the procedures.

Officials from the Tax Service highlighted that the introduction of this standard is a strategic effort to boost transparency, elevate the quality of services, and improve accessibility for the business community. Crucially, it also aims to strengthen fiscal control mechanisms, ensuring better compliance and revenue collection. The cost of these services will be determined by an approved price list, subject to approval by the antimonopoly authority, ensuring a regulated and fair pricing structure.
