Landslides Block Eastbound National Freeway No. 10 Near Yanchao Due to Heavy Rain; Traffic Rerouted

Heavy rainfall has triggered landslides and fallen trees, forcing the closure of the eastbound lanes of National Freeway No. 10 near Yanchao. The incident occurred at kilometer 20.9, where debris has obstructed the roadway, rendering it impassable.

Authorities are actively engaged in clearing the affected section to restore traffic flow. The National Freeway Bureau is leading the clearing operations. Fortunately, there have been no reports of vehicles trapped or individuals injured by the falling trees or landslides.

To manage the disruption, eastbound traffic is being redirected. Vehicles are being guided from the Yanchao system interchange to utilize National Freeway No. 3, with access to both northbound and southbound routes.

The closure is causing significant traffic delays in the area as drivers navigate the rerouted paths. Efforts to reopen the freeway are ongoing, with the priority being the safe removal of all obstructions and the resumption of normal traffic conditions.
