Legislator Chiu Chen-chun of the Kuomintang party posed the query, also asking if the nominee would prioritize investigating the controversial Taishang land transaction dispute.

Ngogan also addressed concerns about his perceived close ties to the Democratic Progressive Party and his past support for a recall effort, asserting his ability to act as an independent supervisor.

Ngogan recounted an instance during his time as a committee member where he advised the then-president of the Examination Yuan to address concerns about holding party positions, emphasizing the need for officials to transcend party lines. He reiterated his commitment to independent oversight when questioned about investigating the Premier or potential administrative inaction.
