During the consultation, the woman reportedly became emotionally distressed and proceeded to douse the lawyer, surnamed Huang, with the beverage. The unexpected act startled onlookers. Police were called to the scene and took Su back to the police station for questioning. She explained her actions by stating she was "just in a bad mood."

Following the incident, the lawyer indicated his intention to press charges for defamation. Police noted that Su appeared to be in poor mental condition and emotionally unstable. She was subsequently referred to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office for investigation.
