Leo Baptistao renews with Almería for one season

Leo Baptistao will continue with Almería for another season, having signed a contract extension until the summer of 2027. The Spanish-Brazilian forward, who turned 33 in August, has become a cornerstone for the club since his arrival in 2022. His renewal is seen as a significant move for Almería, which is also bringing in new reinforcements like winger Brian Cipenga, defender Jorge Pulido, forward Miguel de la Fuente, and midfielder Quim Junyent under coach Xavi García Pimienta.

The club highlighted Baptistao's value, citing his "experience, commitment, professionalism, versatility, and offensive potential." He is considered a leader in the locker room. Last season, he played in 40 official matches, starting 27, and scored ten goals that proved crucial at various points in the league campaign.
