Lexus RX facelift spotted with new interior at Nürburgring

A prototype of the updated Lexus RX has been seen undergoing tests at the Nürburgring, offering a glimpse of its forthcoming facelift. While exterior modifications appear minimal, focusing on the grille and front bumper, the interior is set for a more significant overhaul.

Spy shots reveal an interior design that aligns with Lexus's latest models, the ES and TZ. This suggests the RX will adopt a larger central touchscreen, likely 14 or 17 inches, complemented by hidden physical buttons below. The integration of the new generation Arene OS infotainment system is also anticipated, promising a more modern and streamlined user experience.

Externally, the camouflage suggests that changes will be subtle. The front fascia, including the grille and bumper, will receive updates, but the rear design appears largely unchanged, with minimal or no camouflage applied. This indicates a focus on refining the existing aesthetic rather than a radical redesign.

Under the hood, the powertrain options are expected to carry over from the current model. This includes the hybrid systems found in the RX 500h F Sport, RX 450h+, and RX 350h variants, ensuring that the performance and efficiency characteristics remain consistent for the updated RX.
