Lithuanian MP's data leaked from Center of Registers

Lithuanian Member of Parliament Jekaterina Rojaka has revealed that her personal data was leaked from the Center of Registers (RC) on March 20, 2026. She expressed distress and raised questions about the criteria used for the data extraction and whether it was a targeted selection or a random mass collection.

Rojaka shared her concern on Facebook, stating, "My data from RC was leaked. Date: 2026-03-20 (!). And yours? It doesn't feel good... And the fact that you are among the 'chosen ones' is not comforting at all. On the contrary, it raises more questions: by what criteria was the information 'siphoned off'? Why these specific people? Was it a random mass collection, or a targeted selection? How many more people are unaware?"

The Center of Registers has launched a system allowing residents to check if their personal data was compromised. Individuals can access a special technical solution on the RC's self-service website by verifying their identity electronically. Those unable to use the online system can obtain the information by visiting any customer service unit with a personal identification document.

The leaked data includes names, personal identification codes, birth dates, property addresses, registry numbers, unique property item numbers, and cadastral data. It also includes information on registered property rights or legal facts and the basis for their registration. However, the RC emphasized that no contact information, payment details, bank account numbers, or specific transaction documents were disclosed. The center has blocked suspected user accounts and implemented additional security measures to prevent future breaches.
