Lithuanian singers Deivis and Rafailas announce 'The Funniest Christmas Show'

Lithuanian singers Deivis and Rafailas are gearing up to launch "The Funniest Christmas Show," a new production scheduled for December. Described as more than just a concert, the show promises a dynamic blend of musical performance, theatrical elements, humor, and engaging visuals. Audiences can expect a spectacle enhanced by the Kaunas Big Band, led by chief conductor Tomas Botyrius, alongside impressive LED visualizations, striking scenography, and innovative lighting.

Christmas is a time of miracles not only for the audience but also for us, the performers, so we will try to create a miracle on stage. We are preparing many interesting ideas, which, we hope, will lift people into a true Christmas mood.

Rafailas expressed his excitement about creating a "miracle" on stage, aiming to lift audiences into a "true Christmas mood." Deivis added that the show will feature big band music, Christmas songs, and surprises, promising their signature blend of "lots of laughter." Organizers "Pepper Live" hint at original songs and unique interpretations of well-known tunes, playfully assuring that while flamingos and doves won't be part of the act, other surprises are guaranteed.

The duo, who have spent over six months touring Lithuania as part of their "2 METRAI" project, have developed a close rapport. They shared amusing anecdotes about their working relationship, with Rafailas jokingly noting Deivis's tendency to pick "particularly bad restaurants" during travel, though he always pays. Deivis, in turn, teased Rafailas about being overly critical, but acknowledged his partner's generosity.

My favorite quality of Deivis is that he is the only colleague who does not block me on stage. The worst quality? He is very annoying – he constantly picks on me for no reason, he is always unhappy with something. Although, to be honest, I am probably only more annoying than him.

Their openness about their dynamic is seen as a key ingredient to their success. Rafailas stated that audiences appreciate seeing "real people" rather than staged characters, emphasizing their willingness to express genuine emotions, even disagreements, on stage. This authenticity, he believes, makes them one of Lithuania's most sincere duos. The show will have performances in Vilnius, Šiauliai, Kaunas, Klaipėda, and Palanga.

The worst quality of Rafailas is that during trips he chooses particularly bad restaurants, which the whole team has to go to. And the good quality is that after realizing where he has led us, he pays for everyone.
