The waiting area at Maumere port reportedly collapsed, causing panic among passengers attempting to evacuate. The office of the Manggarai Regent also sustained severe damage. In Labuan Bajo, the Jayakarta Hotel was heavily impacted by the tremors. Roads in Maumere showed signs of distress, with residents seen fleeing in fear.

East Nusa Tenggara Police Chief Irjen Pol. Rudi Darmoko stated that law enforcement is prioritizing the evacuation of residents and monitoring the evolving situation. "Damage is still being assessed by members in the field; currently, the focus is on helping the community with evacuations and advisories," Rudi said. He confirmed that all personnel from several police stations in Flores have been deployed to assist the public.
