Makinde picks Adeniran as APM presidential campaign coordinator in Oyo

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has appointed Dr. Nureni Adeniran, the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), to lead the Allied People's Movement (APM) presidential campaign efforts within the state. This strategic appointment positions Adeniran as the central figure for the APM's presidential bid in Oyo.

In addition to his role as presidential campaign coordinator, Adeniran will also serve as the Director-General of the Governorship Campaign Council for the APM in Oyo State. This dual responsibility underscores the party's focus on both national and state-level elections.

The APM has officially presented Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi, a former Commissioner for Finance under the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi administration, as its candidate for the governorship in the upcoming 2027 election. The campaign council will also feature other key figures, including Mr. Saheed Arowosaye, a former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, who will act as deputy coordinator. Mr. Demola Ojo, the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, is appointed as deputy Director-General for the southern region.

Governor Makinde is scheduled to inaugurate the campaign council on Friday. The ceremony will take place in the conference room of the governor’s office, marking a formal commencement of the campaign activities for the APM in Oyo State.
